It’s your last chance to witness vibrant sunflower fields paint the Clare Valley countryside golden for the region’s annual Sunflower Festival. Held at Shimmering Pines Farm, families can venture through the fields picking their own sunflowers. Adults can pick five stems for $15, children aged five to 14 can pick two stems for $5, and babies and toddlers can enjoy the festivities for free. Adelaide skin health clinic, Elixir Skin Fitness, will host an exclusive event exploring women’s intimate health next Thursday (October 12).

Elixir Skin Fitness will launch its new Empower RF treatment equipment at the intimate gathering which features a range of guest speakers to raise awareness about topics often taboo in the community.

Empower RF device is a game-changing treatment designed to treat a range of women’s health conditions for women of all ages.

Make-A-Wish this Winter

If you had one wish, what would it be? This winter, we’re getting behind Make-A-Wish FOundation’s Gala Ball to raise money for children in need.

The major event returns to celebrate 21 years with a winter-themed extravaganza where Adelaide Oval’s William Magarey Room will transform into a shimmering winter wonderland to raise money for the children’s foundation on Friday, August 18.

Naming rights sponsor Lexus of Adelaide returns for its fifth year, with General Manager Wade Sander saying the night will be one to remember.

“The Make-A-Wish Gala Ball is an incredibly uplifting fundraising event, and positively contributes to the health and wellbeing of all the children and families involved,” Mr Sander says.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation, now in its 38th year, will benefit from an event auction run by LJ Hooker Auctioneer, Troy Tyndall. Prizes up for grabs include luxury holidays, exclusive experiences and two nights’ accommodation in Sofitel’s exclusive Presidential Suite.

Guests are encouraged to add a splash of winter glam to their outfit, whether a shimmering headpiece, long-sleeved gown or fur coat. For those mindful of sustainability with their attire, Hyde Park’s +One boutique is offering 20% off hire formalwear, using the code MAW20.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation hopes to raise more than $125,000 across the event to grant 25 cherished wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The charity aims to grant 500 wishes a year, with up to 50 of those magical wishes fulfilled in South Australia.
