CIRCUS ELEMENTS WORKSHOP – 1871 VILLAGE MARKET | Ennis Park (Clare valley) | December 16

Ever wanted to join the circus? Now’s your chance! Join Scott from Circus Elements on the lawn at Clare Valley’s Ennis Park for one hour of hands-on circus fun! This energetic workshop teaches basic elements and circus skills to juggle, plate spin, twirl flower sticks, and hula hoop. If you miss out, there’s a second one-hour workshop held later in the day. GLASS IN THE HAND GARDEN TOUR | Caroline Hills (489 Norman Road, yahl) | Starts December 17

Join Helen, the owner and gardener, on a guided exploration through the sprawling three-acre gardens at boutique vineyard Caroline Hills on the Limestone Coast. Discover the evolution of these gardens since their inception in 1980 from mere paddocks, now transformed into diverse sections divided by walls, plants, and various structures. Plants from around the globe fill the property, including majestic Oak, Ash, Bull Magnolia, Silver Birch, Eucalyptus, and many more alongside an impressive assortment of fruit trees. The garden features an orchard, vegetable plots, a bustling beehive, a charming chook run, and even a vineyard, all contributing to the owners’ passion for cultivating food and crafting fine wine. Sunflower Festival | Shimmering Pines Farm (443 Finnis Point Road, Tarlee) | Until December 17

It’s your last chance to witness vibrant sunflower fields paint the Clare Valley countryside golden for the region’s annual Sunflower Festival. Held at Shimmering Pines Farm, families can venture through the fields picking their own sunflowers. Adults can pick five stems for $15, children aged five to 14 can pick two stems for $5, and babies and toddlers can enjoy the festivities for free. This season, there’ll be private mini photoshoots to capture the golden moment, as live music echoes through the fields. Don’t forget to browse the works of local artisans will also showcase their crafts.
