3. A WALK CAN WORK WONDERS | West Beach | MAY 28

Grab a friend and enjoy a leisurely walk before winter well and truly hits. Held by Walking SA, wander West Beach along the Adelaide100 trail in this event to mark the beginning of Reconciliation Week. Join Ngarrendjeri/Kaurna Elder Uncle Moogy Sumner to Walk for Reconciliation and be a Voice for our Generation. Uncle Moogy will start the event with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony at Harold and Cynthia Anderson Reserve.

4. WINTER WHALE FEST | Various locations across Victor Harbor | FROM MAY 28

With winter upon us, there’s no better time to witness majestic marine mammals in their natural habitat than during Winter Whale Fest. There are more than 25 events held during the month-long festival which celebrates the arrival of the Southern Right Whales on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Learn how to whale-spot, unwind during an ocean sound bath or admire work in water-themed art exhibitions.

5. ADELAIDE CABARET FRINGE FESTIVAL | Various locations across Adelaide| UNTIL JUNE 4

Life might be a cabaret, but so is Adelaide at this time of year. Starting this week, annual open-access arts event the Cabaret Fringe Festival is back to entertain audiences with performances ranging from comedy and burlesque to political satire and music. Every ticket sold supports independent artists and metropolitan venues during winter in South Australia.
