Parmy or parma? However you may refer to them, Australian Venue Co (AVC) is raising funds over the Easter long weekend by donating $1 for every parmy sold at more than 150 pubs across the country. ACV’s nation-wide initiative is to support SecondBite, an organisation which aims to reduce food waste and feed Aussies in need. Fundraising will run across all venues that sell chicken parmy on their menu. Every $1 donated can support up to five meals to those in need.

Head straight for the hills for the annual four-day Meadows Easter Fair where you can browse about 150 stalls, ranging from plants and second-hand goods to fresh produce. The Adelaide International Kite Festival brings twists and twirls to the air as the sky fills with kites of all shapes and colours. There’ll also be amusement rides and kite-making workshops for when your neck needs a rest from peering up in awe.
