Fashion is putting its best foot forward this season. We caught up with Burnside Village stylist Cimon Vozzo at the recent Burnside Village X Corryton Burge runway event to chat through the season’s latest trends.
With the weather cooling down, finding the perfect mid-season jacket that will take you from day to night is essential. Introducing the trench coat, your new best friend. The light wardrobe staple will keep you warm on a night out without cramping your style. Rug up with a chunky scarf or slip on a pair of kitten heels and LBD for Friday night drinks. In classic hues or beige and black, a trench coat is a must-have item this season.
The predicted colour trends for A/W 2022 will see tinges of olive green, burnt orange and deep purple peppered throughout your wardrobe. But one way to stand out amongst the darker shades is to add a statement sweater to your closet. Whether this is a chunky cardigan in bold colours, a brightly-coloured knit or a funky embossed jumper, you’ll be cosy yet fashion fresh this season. Pair with a maxi skirt and Alias Mae boots for an AW take on boho chic that cuts through the cold weather drab.
It’ll make you look like you strut the streets of Paris and it’ll keep you snug as a bug. Wool coats are a needed addition to beat La Nina’s frosty feelings, cold temperatures and wet weather this winter. Being toasty trumps being trendy – but who said you had to sacrifice style for comfort? Wool coats are the perfect antidote to the cooler climate, letting you dress to impress while avoiding the nippy air. The long length of these coats helps elongate your winter outfit. Pair with knee-high boots or tights and a mini skirt.
