ADL Fashion Week Returns for 2026

Local fashion, emerging designers and runway experiences will take over the city this October as Adelaide’s favourite fashion event returns for another year.

As Adelaide’s fashion scene continues to evolve, ADL Fashion Week has cemented itself as one of the city’s most exciting events on the calendar. Returning from Wednesday, October 7th to Sunday, October 11th 2026, the five-day program will continue to spotlight the designers, makers, retailers and creatives shaping South Australia’s fashion identity, while celebrating the hospitality and event scene that brings it all together.

Presented by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency, in partnership with local designers, venues and hospitality operators, this year’s event promises a packed program of runways, workshops, talks and immersive experiences designed to bring people closer to fashion in every sense.

“ADL Fashion Week is a celebration of Adelaide’s creative heartbeat,” says Adelaide Economic Development Agency Executive Manager Marketing and Tourism, Michael Rossi.

“It’s a platform for the designers and brands crafting quality products here, paired with the food and hospitality scene Adelaide does so well.”

Over the years, the event has become more than just runways, but an opportunity to discover the ever-evolving fashion landscape in SA. From podcasts and designer workshops to couture showcases and conversations around circular fashion, the program has been developed to speak to both industry creatives and everyday fashion lovers.

“When fashion is shown up close, it becomes something to understand and value, not just something to watch,” Rossi says.

Supported by the South Australian Fashion Industry Association (SAFIA), the return of ADL Fashion Week forms part of a broader long-term vision to further strengthen South Australia’s fashion industry and showcase the talent emerging from the state.

SAFIA Board Chair, Dr Nathan James Crane, says the return of the runways has been enthusiastically embraced by the local fashion community.

“Runways remain one of fashion’s most powerful cultural platforms,” he says. “South Australia is home to an extraordinary depth of creative talent, and ADL Fashion Week offers an important opportunity to bring that work into view, celebrating the strength, sophistication, and distinct perspective of our local fashion community.”

Last year’s event saw a strong increase in first-time attendees and participant satisfaction, alongside growing recognition of fashion’s cultural and economic contribution to South Australia.

Some of the key highlights included Acler’s runway at Hotel Richmond, while the Future Collective runway brought together labels such as The Wolf Gang, Van Brussel, Katya Komarova, and 23rd of August. Alongside the ADL Designer, Handcrafted and Edit runways, the week offered a strong reminder of the calibre of fashion talent emerging locally.

For 2026, organisers are looking to build on that momentum, with a continued focus on accessibility across formats, price points and audiences.

Designers, brands, and businesses interested in participating are encouraged to attend the upcoming information session on Wednesday, 10 June, which covers both runway participation and Associated Events.

Sessions will outline this year’s themes, key dates, application processes, costs and inclusions, while also exploring opportunities for collaboration across the broader program.
