For full-body rejuvenation, treatments at family-owned TOX Aesthetics are administered by an expert hand

If you’ve been considering entering the world of cosmetic treatments and injectables, it can be tricky to know where to start. It’s important not only to find a team with experience, but one that makes you feel comfortable in the chair. TOX Aesthetics is a clinic that excels in both areas.
Owner Libby had originally planned on becoming a midwife, but while studying nursing, she was offered a role as a cosmetic injector at an aesthetics clinic. “After a few shifts, I never looked back!” she says. Not long after, she opened a clinic of her own. TOX Aesthetics is now in its eighth year, with its main location at Seacliff Park and two offshoots at Port Elliot and Port Adelaide.
Lifelong ties are at the heart of TOX. The team is made up of both friends and family, including Libby’s two daughters. The youngest, Bayley, is the resident beauty therapist, specialising in eyelash extensions, brow waxing and skin treatments. The oldest, Charlie, is a qualified makeup artist, offering a variety of services for everyday looks, events and weddings. All of the admin is taken care of by Stacey, a longtime friend of Libby’s. “She was actually my boss 20 years ago, back when we worked retail, and now I’m hers!” Libby laughs. Given the team’s closeness, there’s a noticeable sense of comfort and connectedness in the clinic that is passed onto the clientele.
Libby operates under the ethos that skin deserves expert care, especially when it comes to cosmetic treatments. With an aim of helping clients look and feel their best, TOX offers a range of injectable services, skin treatments, laser hair removal, LED therapy and body contouring.
A current standout at TOX is the TESLAChair™, a non-invasive procedure that can assist in strengthening the lower back, core and pelvic floor muscles. Deep muscle contraction is triggered through electromagnetic stimulation, inducing as many as 50,000 contractions over a 20–30-minute session. It can be particularly effective postpartum or during menopause, helping to rebuild weakened pelvic floor muscles, improve bladder control and reduce lower back pain.
Libby’s vision was always to create a space where every client was treated holistically. Her approach, along with the unconditional support from the team, have made TOX Aesthetics a space where every client feels well looked after, whether it’s their first appointment or their 50th.
