Picoso Mexican Bar Y Cocina is designed to make your tummy rumble. The new Mexican restaurant has just opened on Prospect Road: another exciting addition to the fast-growing foodie destination. The venue takes its name from the Spanish word for ‘spicy’. Unsurprisingly, this moniker has informed its menu that balances traditional Mexican cuisine with a contemporary twist. A key focus has been reinterpreting classic dishes without compromising their essence. All the classic flavours remain, like chilli, smoke and acid, but in a way that remains approachable.

Dining at Picoso is intended to be a social experience. Big plates abound and ordering across the menu is encouraged. The result is a table that develops organically, piled high with dishes like ceviche blanco, chicken carnitas and baja fish tacos. Plenty of elements are made in house, like their corn tortillas, salsas and sides.
