For years, The Farm Barn has been a widely recognised destination for wholesome family days out, offering hands-on animal encounters and vast outstretched land beyond Hanhdorf’s charming and bustling main strip. Owner and Operator, Naomi, wanting to give her guests the chance to slow down and experience life in Hahndorf beyond a day trip, felt the addition of the cabins was a natural evolution.

“For us, it wasn’t just about adding accommodation, it was about creating an immersive farm stay where families can truly step out of the rush of everyday life and into something simpler, more grounded, and meaningful.”

Whilst the farm remains alive with activity during the days, it’s at the cabins during the evenings where the real magic can be found. “They’re quiet,” Naomi tells us. “With country air and big skies… it’s simple, but that’s exactly what makes it special.”

The cabins themselves reflect that philosophy, with purposeful design heralded by Eve Road Studio, each of the spaces is a small masterclass on creating a truly inviting space. With their playful colour palettes, and warm, dreamy interiors, they’re so beautifully designed, you’ll likely never want to leave.

What sets the Farm Barn Cabins apart is simple: you’re not near the countryside, you’re in it. Guests will wake to the soft trill of birds, the farm life slowly waking up as the light stretches across the paddocks, all before they’ve taken their first sip of coffee in the fresh country air. As Naomi tells us, “Staying overnight changes everything.”

Evoking a sense of space and freedom that’s arguably difficult to find in pockets of Adelaide, the cabins are designed to feel like their own little adventure for families, couples, and friends alike.
