Tasting Australia returns for its 19th edition, delivering more than 150 events across the state, from immersive rail journeys and regional escapes to world-class collaborations across South Australia.

From May 8 to 17, 2026, Tasting Australia returns for its 2026 season, and this year’s program feels diversified and globally connected, whilst still deeply anchored in South Australia’s produce, people and place.
At the helm of this year’s festival is Tasting Australia’s creative team, featuring Kane Pollard, Duncan Welgemoed, Meira Harel, Banjo Harris Plane and Jessica Ducrou, bringing a sharp, industry-led perspective to the lineup.

At the centre, Town Square once again transforms Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga into the festival’s hub. By day, it’s a place to grazing and discovery; by night, it comes to life with chef takeovers, premium pours and communal tables. New to this year’s program is Good Neighbour, a neighbourhood-style wine bar concept hosting one-off chef collaborations in an atmosphere designed for lingering.
For those drawn to theatre and frivolity, Punk Royale will be visiting Adelaide in an Australian exclusive. The European collective known for its disruptive and playful approach to modern dining will stage two high-energy events in the CBD and Town Square. Expect a multi-course experience that blurs the line between fine dining and performance.

Under One Sky at Tandanya on May 9 brings together Mindy Woods, Duncan Welgemoed, Sarah Glover and Alex Crawford for an evening shaped by fire, music and storytelling, celebrating Kungkarrakalpa Tjukurrpa (Seven Sisters Dreaming) alongside prominent South Australian winemakers and musicians.
For something transportive, from May 6 to 9, Tasting Australia by Train – The Ghan Edition will take guests on an immersive journey from Darwin to Adelaide. The experience welcomes Michelin-starred Spanish chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho on board, pairing refined menus with the romance of travel.

International names, including American sommelier André Hueston Mack and Hong Kong’s Bar Leone, recently crowned World’s Best Bar, will further elevate the 2026 lineup.
Championing an ethos of celebration through food and wine, this year’s program feels assured and deeply connected to South Australia.
