HAUTE CULTURE

Returning for its fourth year, ADL Fashion Week weaves together the city’s cultural threads with trend-setting style in its most expansive program yet.

Fashion and culture have always existed in constant conversation. Drawing on this dynamic, the 2025 return ADL Fashion Week has evolved into a celebration of the state at its best, proving style has always been about substance, too. The event runs October 8 to 12 with its biggest programme to date and with a line-up this bold, it’s no wonder our city’s culture continues to garner cult status. From immersive runways to curated experiences, ADL Fashion Week invites you to dive headfirst into Adelaide’s unique fashion ecosystem.

Immerse Yourself

Hutt Street hotspot Latteria kicks off five days of fashion-fuelled fun on October 8 with Studio 185 – the opening party, ‘where every seat feels like the front row’. Local labels VAN BRUSSEL, Yaneth, Archives of Zobo, Piraso De Tela, Cadell Cantue and Little Ms Waste Not will debut this season’s must-have looks (with the chance to shop the edit straight off the runway). Adding to the experience, botanical perfume house SÌUNO will bring an immersive edge to the evening with its live scent bar, while Latteria’s resident musicians set the tone with performances all night. Toast to Fashion Week with bespoke cocktails and canapés, then soak up the glamorous vibes inside this milk-bar-meets-70s-drinking-den.

October 8, 6pm-11:59pm | Latteria | $150

Future Form

On October 11, immerse yourself in a thought-provoking conversation as Yaneth designer Cathy Karuga joins Arielle Thomas, host of Process The Podcast, for an exclusive live recording in Adelaide. Together, they’ll unpack stories of rejuvenation in fashion and business, exploring ambition, style and creativity. You’ll be welcomed in-store by Aēsop, offering an experience that champions beauty and self-care at the forefront. With complimentary drinks, fresh smoothies, grazing nibbles and a curated gift bag to take home, this event promises inspiration long after the conversation ends.

October 11, 11am-1pm | Yaneth | $59

Defining Decade

Katya Komarova is blowing out birthday candles this year as her eponymous accessories label turns 10. The last decade has seen the brand become synonymous with stitch-free leather bags that balance distinctive design with subtle elegance and sustainability. Celebrate Katya’s major milestone at an intimate afternoon hosted at OZIN Restaurant this October 11. Think curated canapés, interactive displays and a candid conversation with the designer herself, reflecting on her evolution in the industry, hosted by media personality Rebecca Morse.

October 11, 12pm-2pm | OZIN Restaurant | $95

Centre Stage

Straight lines, attitude, en pointe – ballet has always been about aesthetics. Fashion and performance join forces at Casanova and His Mistresses, which will reimagine Adelaide’s historic Town Hall for one night only. The October 11 event blends bespoke fashion with fine art, culminating in a captivating live performance by the Adelaide Ballet Company. Tickets are $70, including a regional glass of wine upon arrival and a selection of handmade desserts by Barossa-based artisan, On Cockatoo Lane.

October 11, 4:30pm-6pm | Adelaide Town Hall | $70

By Design

Estelle Michaelides is one of Australia’s ultimate creatives. The celebrated fashion designer, stylist and illustrator is taking to Sofitel Adelaide for an exclusive workshop that will uncover the ‘art of illustration’. Hosted in the Symphony Room on October 12, guests of this intimate experience will create their own individual artworks to take home, learning the joy of creation from one of the nation’s most diverse talents. Elevated by a gourmet high tea and a glass of sparkling upon arrival, this event proves fashion and culture don’t only co-exist, but are in constant dialogue.

October 12, 2pm-4pm | Sofitel Adelaide | $160

Tastemakers

But what makes our city iconic? The people. The creative frontier of postcode 5000 has been shaped over decades by designers, thinkers and artists who insist that culture lives within the very fabric of our city.

ADL Fashion Week is once again raising a glass to a talented, multi-hyphenate cohort of innovators that call Adelaide home: think one of the city’s original tastemakers, George Gross; the renowned duo behind Acler, Kathryn Forth and Julia Ritorto; MasterChef’s golden girl, Laura Sharrad; and acclaimed Aboriginal musician and artist, Zaachariaha Fielding. These stars and more will be attending the five-day event, serving as a reminder that Adelaide’s style has always been defined by those who drive it.
