Urban Habitats Named Master Builder of the Year at 2025 Master Builders SA Building Excellence Awards

The most prestigious in the state since 1994, The Master Builders SA Building Excellence Awards celebrate quality, innovation, and integrity in the building and construction industry.

Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, this year the awards brought together more than 1,500 building and construction industry representatives to celebrate outstanding craftsmanship and innovation across South Australia.

This year, Urban Habitats has knocked the ball out of the park by taking home two of the top honours at the 2025 Master Builders SA Building Excellence Awards, winning: Master Builder of the Year – Residential, and Contract Home over $2M for Urban Sanctuary.

Celebrating 25 years, Urban Habitats, led by Directors Jock Merrigan and Josh Semmler, is an architecturally design-led construction group uniting architecture, interiors, and building under one roof to deliver a truly seamless design and build experience. The team, now known for creating award winning homes that balance innovation with timeless quality, are beyond deserving of these two enormous awards.

To receive the accolades and be recognised as Master Builder of the Year – Residential is one of the greatest honours in the industry. Not to mention the Contract Home over $2M, which saw The Urban Sanctuary Project praised for its bold architectural vision and meticulous execution. Coming as no surprise to us, the judges of the awards noted Urban Habitats’ consistent quality, level of finishes, exceptional build times, and approach to design intent.
