From AM to PM, you’ll be reminded of South Australia reputation for unparalleled hospitality at these six venues.
La Louisiane

Adelaide’s nightlife is one of the country’s best-kept secrets and intimate venues like La Louisiane are why the city’s evening energy is so unrivalled.
From the moment you arrive, the French bistro transports you to the streets of Paris. Soft sounds of live jazz and a warm ambience invite you in while the immersive dining experience begs you to stay. La Louisiane has distilled its hospitality down to a fine art, too. Think roaming caviar carts, petit cocktails (the mini martini is a must-try) and classic Brasserie dishes from Executive Chef Alexis Besseau (formerly Restaurant Hubert).
As for the menu, pick from potato donuts paired with sea urchin and salmon roe, escargot dripping in butter and garlic, or the signature steak frites. These sophisticated flavours are only elevated by the wine list that prioritises authentic French drops from globally renowned regions, such as Reims and Chablis. And don’t forget to finish with a plate of profiteroles drizzled in dark chocolate.
Just like the French, La Louisiane also understands that unforgettable experiences take time. Food service here often runs until 11pm (or later on weekends), with a roster of SA jazz musicians ready to keep you entertained from Tuesday to Saturday. You’re never rushed at La Lou – this venue runs on your time.

TERRA & SOL

This light-drenched venue has remained a firm favourite amongst Adelaidians for a reason.
What began as a humble beachside brunch spot, Terra & Sol has been revolutionising dining at the bay since 2020, today inviting guests to indulge in local flavours seven days a week. From sunup to sundown, this terracotta- coloured venue does it all.
Start your morning right by grabbing a cup of barista-made coffee, which is best enjoyed overlooking the bustle of Jetty Road. Breakfast here is considered and crammed with SA produce.
Eggs benedict with smoked salmon or buttermilk pancakes with berries do all the heavy lifting in the AM; lunch invites classic courses (think salt and pepper squid) and plates to share, such as burrata with dukkah and three- cheese mushroom arancini. Even better, most courses are gluten free or can be altered to suit dietaries.
Always evolving, the venue has quadrupled in size since opening, expanding to include an al fresco garden bar and function space. Because of this, Terra & Sol adapts to any energy. Mid-week dinners are cosy; weekend events are elevated; functions are thoughtful and seamless. Pair plates of chicken pasta alla vodka with a Never Never Ginache Tom Collins, or indulge in crispy-skin miso salmon and a glass of Eden Valley Riesling. The fun carries on late into the night, too. Work through the curated cocktail menu as house DJs soundtrack your evening!

CORIOLE VINEYARDS

McLaren Vale’s rolling landscape sets the scene for an unparalleled dining experience at Coriole Vineyards.
Working with the seasons, Head Chef Patricia Streckfuss curates a menu that celebrates the best of South Australian produce. A garden-to-plate philosophy is realised through a thriving kitchen garden and her collaboration with local farmers and growers to source ethical, sustainable and flavour-forward ingredients.
Expect sophisticated dishes designed for sharing. Start with freshly baked sourdough and whipped ricotta or house-cured meats with pickles. Mains champion the region’s finest – think wood-roasted lamb shoulder with garden herbs or market fish paired with vibrant citrus and fennel. Each dish is a perfect match for Coriole’s wines, known for their Italian and Mediterranean varietals, produced just metres away.
The heritage-listed barn, built in 1860, is home to Coriole’s cellar door. Walk- ins are welcome, where you can enjoy a tasting experience at the bar, or head outside into the beautiful gardens to enjoy a glass of wine in the sun. Coriole has been a pioneer of Italian varieties since 1985, with the oldest Sangiovese and Fiano vineyards in Australia. Inviting and full of charm, Coriole offers a true taste of McLaren Vale.

Bottega Bandito

Baked fresh, daily – that’s the motto of cult-favourite delicatessen Bottega Bandito. For almost five years, this ethos has guided the little pink corner store that could. But when it came time to expand past its flagship Prospect venue, the team decided to take it to another level. Meet Bottega Bandito 2.0, now city- based and attached to a micro-bakery.
Opening along James Place last year, this CBD haunt serves stacked sandos, fresh pastries and artisan coffee seven days a week. Office-goers and early- risers are rewarded with espressos and breakfast from 7am (you can’t look past the John’s croissant with toasted prosciutto and provolone), and those who dedicate time to dine-in can enjoy watching the bakers prove and roll dough all day long. Lunchtime feeds are just as fresh. Think classic deli sandos served hot and cold (the porchetta roll with kimchi is a winner) with a side of porcini salt and Parmigiano fries. There are even monthly sando specials and exclusive James Place treats, like the hot croissant bread and butter pudding with dark chocolate, double cream and fruit.
Plus, the new location is perfect for those frequenting the city – whether its visitors or Adelaide locals. Bottega Bandito James Place is within walking distance (15 minutes or less) from the CBD’s world-class hotels, including Sofitel Adelaide, Eos by SkyCity and Crowne Plaza Adelaide.

YEAH NAH YEAH

Brunch tastes at its best at Yeah Nah Yeah. The little sister to Glenelg hotspot Terra & Sol, this family-owned suburban cafe is a go-to for a catch-up and a coffee seven days a week.
Fresh, unique and filling are three words that define the Torrens Park cafe menu – think the Dirty Bird dish with two hash browns and fried chicken, or French Toast with fruit, mango compote and mascarpone. Pair these distinctive dishes with strawberry matcha or some morning bubbles – what could be better than sipping
a glass of Louis Roederer Champagne in the AM?
The all-day brunch menu also includes fresh salads topped with poached chicken or halloumi, as well as prawn pancakes and crispy sweet soy fried chicken. Looking for something more laid-back? Check out Yeah Nah Yeah’s sando menu, or grab a fresh pastry to-go. Even better, the inner-south venue caters to dietaries – most of the menu can be made gluten- free or vegan-friendly.
Come for the food served inside this cosy cafe; stay for the in-store bodega. Here, you’ll find some of the best SA producers, such as Mischief Brew small- batch sodas and Etikette candles.

Botanic Lodge

Opening in September last year, Botanic Lodge is the latest project helmed by chef Tom Tilbury. Just like its sister venue, the 19 chef hatted Restaurant Botanic, South Australian produce is central to this eatery that’s seeking to redefine Sunday lunch.
Nostalgia is the first thing that comes to mind when dining here. Tilbury and the team have taken the flavours that defined our childhoods and married them with future-forward hospitality. Thus, the ever-evolving courses are season-informed, sustainable and familiar in the best way.
Graze on Tommy ruff sandos with iceberg lettuce and lashings of mayo, a lamb sausage with roasted onion and preserved beetroot, or a Greenslade farm roast chook over glasses of SA wine (Gentle Folk’s Rainbow Juice is a must!). Dessert is equal parts sweet and sentimental – just look to the Golden Gaytime parfait or Lamington with quandong jam and coconut ice cream.
This is all served against the backdrop of the Adelaide Botanic Garden, which only elevates the restaurant’s whimsical energy. Savour courses lakeside while admiring the lush grounds – lunchtime has never been more tranquil.
Your experience can be as indulgent or laid back as you’d please, too – pop past for a coffee or enjoy a long long. Dining at Botanic Lodge feels like time has stopped purely for you.
