At Martin Rogers, heritage tradition and contemporary elegance create jewellery designed to be passed down generations

When esteemed jewellery maker Andrew Mitchell sat down to dream up his latest design, the interplay between nature’s elegance and the stillness of a summer evening caught his attention. Twilight is a powerful time of day – as was the image of a rose bathed in the soft glow of moonlight. The result? A stunning platinum and rose gold cocktail ring, set with cushion-cut pink morganite and framed by trilliant-cut aquamarine and pear-cut tanzanite gemstones.
This is just one example of the masterpieces routinely produced by multi-award-winning jewellers Martin Rogers. Since 1989, breathtaking design has been the brand’s benchmark – a longstanding ideal realised through its ability to balance tradition and innovation in equal measure. Today, Andrew leads a team of highly experienced artisans who work closely with clients to custom-create stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces that stand the test of time.
“Our ethos is exceptional jewels with high impact, and I believe that comes through in everything we produce,” he says. “It’s about staying true to the heritage of craftsmanship while reflecting the modern world and contemporary style.”
Quality craftsmanship is the consistent thread running throughout every piece produced by Martin Rogers. This approach, coupled with the business’ ‘real is rare’ mentality and commitment to ethically sourcing natural diamonds, forms the backbone of its design process.
From there, the team works closely with clients on their unique vision, finding ways to reflect their story in the final product. From paper sketches to the in-person reveal, you’ll be able to speak directly with the jeweller who creates your piece, too. “Understanding what people want helps us design the perfect piece for them,” Andrew explains. “Everyone is individual, and that shines through in one-of-a-kind, custom designs.”
Revealing his work to customers is a treasured part of Andrew’s job. “I love it,” he says. “I want people to feel special because they are special. I always relate the emotions people get back to being a kid in a lolly shop, where everything makes you go ‘wow’. That youthfulness and joy is how I want people to feel when I show them what we’ve designed.”
When you look at the masterpieces produced by the fine jewellery makers, it’s easy to understand that giddiness Andrew describes – they reflect real people, carved from real stone and handcrafted with real skill. No wonder Martin Rogers holds the reputation for creating tomorrow’s heirlooms, today.
