Kent Town continues to position itself as the place to be. Between its stunning apartment development, buzzy hospitality scene and central location, the energy of this sought after suburb is unparalleled. And now, the atmosphere of the city-fringe destination has been further elevated with the arrival of a new, cutting-edge cosmetic hub.
Spearheaded by leading cosmetic physician Dr Rahma Targett, 69 King William Street houses the relocated Advanced Cosmetic Medicine clinic (previously on Melbourne Street) and the new StranDr hair restoration clinic. The newly opened space sets a new benchmark for how aesthetic medicine can look and operate in SA, offering revolutionary cosmetic care across three levels.
“The Kent Town space represents a new chapter for Advanced Cosmetic Medicine and StranDr,” says Dr Targett. “We’ve designed a space where all our services come together under one roof, creating a seamless and comfortable experience for our clients.”

Since 2016, Dr Targett has used her two decades of medical experience (including her time as Deputy Chief Medical Officer in the United Nations) and expansive training background to offer innovative treatments at Advanced Cosmetic Medicine. She was introduced to the revolutionary NeoGraft hair restoration transplant in 2021, and since then, has dedicated part of her services to delivering the advancements of the rapidly evolving science to South Australians.
Noticing a pattern in people travelling overseas to receive hair transplants, Dr Targett decided to pave new ground and develop a business that provided the best hair restoration treatments in Australia. The opening of StranDr in Kent Town – which operates as a standalone sister clinic to Advanced Cosmetic Medicine – marks a bold new chapter in this mission.
Buoyed by a team of leading hair restoration experts, Dr Targett hopes to reverse the outdated stigma attached to hair loss in men and women at StranDr. The cutting-edge portfolio of treatments, includes the NeoGraft FUE hair transplant, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments for hair rejuvenation and Regenera Activa. NeoGraft FUE offers minimally invasive, natural-looking results without linear scarring; PRP techniques use concentrated platelets to improve hair growth by stimulating the body’s natural healing response; and Regenera Activa encourages hair growth via stem cell-rich micrografts. Further showing her commitment to this field, Dr Targett has also been inducted as an associate member to the prestigious International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).

Outside of this, Advanced Cosmetic Medicine will continue to deliver its personalised portfolio of treatments that focus on facial rejuvenation. The new Kent Town location allowed Dr Targett and the extended team to deepen their drive for restorative science. Clients will still have an in-depth consultation at Advanced Cosmetic Medicine to develop an individualised therapy plan aligned with their goals. However, there are now dedicated spaces – such as a high-quality laser suite – where new wave treatments occur.
What’s more, the three-level clinic is luxe and light-drenched. With sleek interiors, state-of-the-art rooms and a calm atmosphere, the space is designed to redefine the cosmetic experience. Inside, high-tech treatments currently on offer include the groundbreaking Ultraformer III, a non-invasive high-intensity focused ultrasound technique that tightens, brightens and lifts; Laser Genesis, which use breakthrough technology to address signs of ageing and rosacea; body sculpting services such as truFlex and NuEra Tight; and Rejuran,
a revolutionary treatment that uses polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) to stimulate our natural healing response and promote collagen production.
However, what hasn’t changed is Dr Targett’s dedication to delivering exceptional care to all her clients. In an industry where expertise and trust are paramount, choosing the right clinic can make all the difference—not just in results, but in the overall experience. With the opening of this Kent Town hub, Dr Targett has created more than just a clinic; she has built a destination for advanced aesthetics, where science and artistry come together to offer the very best in cosmetic medicine.
