This Sunday, March 30, experience the power of a community united by diversity at St Raphael’s School

Located in Parkside, St Raphael’s School is taking a bold step in bringing Adelaide together as one. This Sunday, March 30, the school will host its Cultural Connections Fair – a vibrant celebration that promises to showcase the strength and beauty of SA’s cultural differences.
From midday to 3pm, this event will move past the standard definition of a school fair to a powerful, immersive experience that invites the wider community to come together and celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make our city unique. Through the universal languages of food, storytelling and art, this event aims to foster understanding, appreciation and unity amongst diverse communities.
A Feast for the Senses
Elevated by colourful cultural performances and the sound of traditional music, the afternoon will be filled with the aroma of dishes from around the world. Event attendees will not only be able to savour traditional dishes shared by local families, but they can watch live cooking demonstrations and enjoy cultural dance showcases.
Hope + Resilience
Storytelling sits at the heart of this event. Families can share their own cultural tales of hope, offering glimpses into the resilience and strength that shaped their journeys. Aboriginal Elders will also be sharing dreamtime stories with crowds. Powerful and emotive, these narratives weave together a tapestry of shared human experiences.
A Community United
The Cultural Connections Fair Fay is more St Raphael’s School’s way of getting Adelaide to unite and say, “We are stronger together”. By bringing picnic lunches to share, participating in activities and engaging with one another, attendees will be actively building bridges between communities.
The March 30 event is a reminder of the beauty that exists in our differences and a celebration of the strength we find in unity. Dedicated to championing cultural pride, the afternoon is dedicated to celebrating cultural pride, fostering understanding and reimagining what our community can be when we come together. Join St Raphael’s School this Sunday and experience the power of community united by diversity!
