Australian actress Teresa Palmer’s collection of unique opal jewellery pieces hold personal significance. Designed specifically for the actress by local bespoke jeweller, Wishart Jewellers, the pieces speak to the star’s connection to South Australia.

Teresa Palmer is a household name having starred in countless films since her film debut in the iconic Wolf Creek in 2005. But while success came early and Hollywood ultimately beaconed, Adelaide has always been home. The collection of pieces custom designed for the star by Wishart Jewellers is a reflection of her journey.

Tjindu Arrow Ring

“The Tjindu Arrow Ring is so special to me,” says Teresa. The name Tjindu (pronounced Jin-Doo) is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘Sun’, while the centrepiece is a pear-shaped Australian opal. “The name of the ring really spoke to me because the sun feels like such a guiding, grounding force in my life”, she says, while the central opal boasts iridescent colours that shift in the light. “The diamonds surrounding it represent milestones and moments of growth, which makes the ring feel like a reflection of my life journey so far.”

Necklace

“I wanted pieces [of jewellery] that weren’t just beautiful, but that also felt deeply personal,” she says. The team at Wishart designed a unique crescent- shaped opal necklace featuring the names of each of Teresa’s children. “The necklace has an Australian white opal that reminds me of watching the sunset over the ocean – it captures that peaceful, dreamy feeling of the last light dancing on the waves. It’s also deeply personal because it features little dancing discs with my children’s initials on them. It’s like carrying them close to my heart wherever I go.”
