For Emali Early Learning Centre, family comes first – and that‘s reflected in how the nine-state-of-the-art sites tailor its services to nurture and develop the next generation of young minds.

Dedicated to equipping children with the skills they need
to take on the world, Emali Early Learning Centre teaches confidence, resilience and kindness through a structured program that prioritises choice. “We believe that children have the right to choice,”
says Findon Director Rachael Masters. “Empowering children helps them feel more confident in trying new things.”
You’ll find nine, locally owned and operated Emali Centres state-wide, with locations including Brighton, Prospect, Morphett Vale and Underdale, amongst others. Each early learning centre taps into its suburban community to help strengthen children’s socialisation and sense of belonging, with some state-of-the-art sites even featuring immersive learning opportunities – like Emali Salisbury, where you’ll find a swim school extension.
“Providing children with an opportunity to learn something as important as water safety and basic swimming abilities – while also making it available to families time-wise – gives children a skill that’s necessary in Australia,” says Rachael.
At Littlehampton, there is bush kindy and an on-site barn that helps children foster a sense of responsibility and connection to nature, while a soon- to-be-opened Emali in Campbelltown will have an in-built sensory space.
In other centres, like Findon, community interaction comes from regular extra- curricular activities, events and in-house experiences such as visits from the local council mobile library, gardening lessons, aged care visits or guided walks around the neighbourhood.
Movement is also a crucial part of the Emali curriculum. “We try and
keep children very active here,” says Rachael. Additional to its regular program, each centre has a music and movement session where children learn about a different country, its culture and music with some fun interactive games to get their minds and bodies moving. There’s also a weekly sports program to help develop motor skills for balancing, coordination and catching.
The development of young minds is further fuelled by Emali’s commitment to fresh food that’s nutrient rich
and locally sourced. The early learning centres have partnered with suppliers such as Tony & Mark’s and Riviera Bakery, amongst others, to source high-quality ingredients. The seasonal menus are fully inclusive in supporting children to become independent eaters – it’s their choice if they’d like to try new flavours.
Together, these elements set Emali apart while ensuring each centre stays true to its core mission – empowering children. From the flexible environment to genuinely passionate educators, young minds are given the building blocks they need to tackle life.
“It’s all about remembering children are small human beings with opinions and big feelings that need to be valued and respected,” says Rachael. “That’s what gives children the foundation to be confident as they grow in life.”
