‘European cuisine reimagined’ is how Adelaide’s newest restaurant, PARC Brasserie and Bar, describes its offering – a lofty mission to meet, but one this modern venue does with remarkable talent.

The Euro-centric venue arrived in the city’s dining scene in May with much buzz thanks to its commitment to marrying the flavours of France and the Mediterranean with South Australia’s premium local produce. It’s this culinary ethos that has added a sophisticated edge to Hindmarsh Square’s cool collection of bars and cafés.
“Dining at PARC is an occasion, as eating out always should be,” says restaurant and bar manager, Clément Démarais. “And this elevated experience will be carried throughout.”
Nights here start with a glass of wine or nip of gin from top-shelf producers in South Australia and France (think Bordeaux, Champagne and Loire Valley). Following that, plates of beetroot- cured salmon with horseradish dill, chargrilled asparagus and duck confit set the tone for the showstopper main courses that follow. Choose between dishes like a 200-gram Limestone Coast eye fillet drizzled in Béarnaise sauce, a traditional poulet Basquaise, or parmesan gnocchi with forest mushrooms and hazelnut crumbs, accompanied by sides of pomme frittes and crispy garden salads.

Dessert, of course, is always a must and something PARC excels at. Think decadent chocolate mud cakes with a sweet ganache, a signature lemon tart with yuzu, and sharp cheeses sourced from the Adelaide Hills to finish. End the evening with a nightcap – the mulled negroni is a favourite, however, the restaurant is also highly regarded for its whiskey selection.
PARC is about fine food and wine. The brasserie and bar are connected to crowd-favourite hotel, Pullman Adelaide, and open seven days a week from midday until late.
