Ways to spend your time across our city this weekend.
Illuminate Adelaide

Illuminate Adelaide is turning our city into an experimental, sensory-driven playground waiting to be explored. From the choose-your-own-adventure, candle-lit pathways of Fire Gardens to the immersive natural world installation of EDEN, there’s so m uch to see and do. Or, rug up and hit the pavement this weekend to see City Lights, which turns Adelaide’s heritage-listed and culturally significant buildings into interactive works of art. Must-see installations include intangible#form by Shohei Fujimoto (University of Adelaide) and GLOW by Amigo & Amigo (SA Museum).

The Moseley Igloos

Turning al fresco dining into a cosy affair, The Moseley Igloos have returned to the heart of Glenelg. Open until September 8, each igloo can fit up to eight people, is fitted with a fireplace and has views over the beach. Gather your girlfriends and book in for a three-course set menu, a shared-menu dinner or an a la carte experience. Enjoy courses of rare seared tuna with vietllo sauce, slow-roasted lamb with chermoula and hummus and chocolate hazelnut and buttermilk torte in between rounds of winter cocktails (our fave is the winterberry martini!). Bookings are exclusive for 2.5 hours.

Bastille Day

Bastille Day is this weekend! There are dozens of events across Adelaide celebrating the French community. But one of our favourites has to be the all-day jazz festival at La Louisiane on July 14. Get ready for a fête of flowing Champagne, local live music, and classic French food. Smelly Cheese Co. in the Central Market is also celebrating Bastille Day and the best French fromage with their Cheese After Dark event on the evening of July 13. Best of all, it coincides with the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony! For more French fun, check out the four-course dinner and wine pairing at new Euro-centric restaurant, PARC, on July 13.
