KickStart for Kids and SkyCity Adelaide are teaming up to present their Annual Period Poverty Fundraiser at Sol Rooftop on Friday, May 24. Tickets are limited, so book now!

KickStart for Kids launched its Against Period Poverty program in 2021, aiming to shed light on and raise funds to combat period poverty affecting thousands of young girls in South Australia. Since its inception, the initiative has rapidly expanded, now supplying more than 1200 packs of sanitary items to more than 200 local and regional schools monthly, with demand on the rise.
Last year marked the introduction of the inaugural Period Poverty Fundraiser, slated to become a flagship event. This year, the event will again feature esteemed personalities, including period poverty advocate Jenna With The Pink and media figure Bec Morse who expressed disbelief that girls in South Australia are forced to miss school due to the unaffordability of sanitary products.

Entertainment will include a fashion parade showcasing local labels Sunset Lover and Couture Love Madness, live music, artistic illustrations, a musical performance by ambassador Jenna, and a silent auction offering unique items and experiences.
Attendees will be moved by inspirational speeches, including one by KickStart for Kids founder Ian Steel, delving into his journey with the organisation and the genesis of KickStart for Kids Against Period Poverty.
Tickets include a three-hour drinks package and canapes from Sol’s esteemed restaurant, with all proceeds dedicated to the cause.
Businesses are encouraged to contribute to the silent auction. For inquiries, contact belinda@bpublicrelations.com.au.
