Punchy colour and ethereal designs make eyes come alive year-round. TAFE SA make-up and lead lecturer, Jerick Moral, shows us how.

REVERSE CAT EYE
This make-up trend is a fierce upgrade to winged liner. It’s a simple switch, and has all the fierceness of regular winged liner but it’s inverted so the focus is on your lower lash line. The result is a smoky, sultry under eye that wings out at the corner to create a sexy feline shape.
DOPAMINE GLAM
You might have heard about the dopamine dressing trend (wearing bright clothing to put yourself in a bright mood), so why not do the same with your make-up?
If you are an eyeshadow beginner, pick one colour that speaks to you and whack it all over the eyelid for a whimsical look. This look is something everyone can get onboard with, regardless of your skin texture or make-up skills.
Dopamine is not only limited to colourful eyeshadow, it can be a slick of bright lipstick or lots of blusher. Anything that’s unorthodox and against the standard but incorporates lots of fun colour!

GRAPHIC
When you think of a dramatic eye, thick, black winged eyeliner might spring to mind. But it’s time to go a step further and make people blink twice by embellishing your eyes with a sprinkle of glitter and graphics. This statement shadow style is for those who aren’t afraid to experiment with colour and shapes.

CANDY-COLOURED
Undeniably cheery, decidedly un-fussy and downright optimistic, this make-uptrend equals instant happiness! Choose candy-coloured eye shadow and liner in hues like bubblegum pink, licorice red, lemonhead yellow, minty aqua and artificial raspberry blue.
