A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month! Here’s what’s on to kick off June.
Matt Corby | Hindley Street Music Hall | June 3

Things are looking more than fine this weekend, especially if you head along to Australian singer-songwriter Matt Corby’s Aussie tour for his upcoming album titled Everything’s Fine. On the day Corby planned to begin writing the album, his home was inundated with floodwaters. His family moved into Rainbow Valley Studios where he juggled familial responsibilities with his creative pursuits. Firmly fixed on seeing the best of things, Corby says: “I’m at a really beautiful point in my life… sometimes I have those moments when you realise: well, I’m still breathing, you still have the gift of life, so everything is fine I guess?”
Oz Comic-Con | Adelaide Showground | June 3–4

Whether you’re a Muggle, a Mashmallow, an Earper, a Jedi, a Whovian or someone who doesn’t understand a single word that was just said, if you love pop culture, Oz Comic-Con is the place to be this weekend. Dress up as your favourite character, browse exhibitor stalls and rub shoulders with local and international guests from film and television, as well as authors, illustrators and cosplayers.
FlameFest | Port Adelaide | June 3–4

Winter may have officially started, but things are getting hot in Harts Mill in Port Adelaide. From flamethrowers to fire sculptures, beer and BBQ festival FlameFest turns up the heat. Cool off with a bevvy in the beer hall while footy fanatics catch the on-field action on the big screen while digging into a flame grilled feast.
High Tea & Fashion | Clare Valley | June 4

Glam up for a Sunday afternoon to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in the Clare Valley. A high tea and fashion parade by local boutique Moda Bella will raise funds for the RFDS. Enjoy bubbles when you get there, nibble on homemade treats as you browse and spoil yourself with a piece or two of jewellery to take home with you.
