Before The Unley became the now beloved city fringe hotel, it was the Boho Bar – a glittering burlesque bar where Adelaide would let loose and dance the night away. Before it underwent renovations and a name change in 2015, the venue was known for its late-night entertainment, where performers would dazzle in the circus-like bar and restaurant on weekends.
This June 2, The Unley is returning to its roots for one night only with its new event, Boho…But With A Twist. From disco balls and drag queens to cocktails burlesque dancers, the evening is a flashback to the venue’s late ‘90s and noughties party era.
From 8pm, the hotel will transform into a glamorous hub of entertainment. Guests will be greeted with a free shot on arrival. From there, the fun begins. Enjoy an evening of high-energy performances from drag queens and burlesque dancers, who’ll captivate crowds with their top-tier talent, charm and style.
The Unley’s house DJs will soundtrack the event, getting you grooving with their sets of dancefloor anthems. As for food and drinks, the hotel’s range of bespoke cocktails, small plates and mains will be available. Enjoy Fruit Tingles and Margaritas in-between rounds of entertainment, or share tasty tapas (think Wagyu sliders, halloumi chips and croquettes) with your girlfriends.
