Earthy tones and shades
Right now, trending colour palettes are staying very close to nature with an influx of olive greens, caramels and terracotta. We are also seeing a return of earthy browns – from cognac to burnt umber. You’ll find these colours in textiles and soft furnishings such as cushions and bed linen and they pair beautifully with patterns, including checks and shapes.
Travel-inspired interiors
Textured accessories that are handcrafted from organic materials such as ceramic, clay and marble are becoming increasingly popular – think vases, fruit bowls and small sculptures. Tableware is also having a moment, with culture-inspired plates and bowls, as well as fluted and coloured glassware gaining popularity.
Mixing materials
By utilising two or more different materials into the design of an object or interior, it creates a truly bespoke look. This might mean combining different wood finishes through furniture selections, or the use of marble and brass in accessories or lighting.
