Marion Hotel Winter Wonderland | June 17 – July 27  

Winter has arrived in South Australia, and to celebrate the Marion Hotel has transformed into a winter wonderland for the next six weeks. This Friday, listen to live jazz music in the decked-out garden, transformed by event experts, Hygge Studio. Treat yourself to whisky sours, southern-style fried food and the wintertime ambience. Month long, indulge in the special Yonder Smoked Feasting Menu, smoked whisky and apple pie or a cheeky spiked hot chocolate by Haighs.

Endless Grooves 5th birthday | June 17 & June 18 

Endless Grooves is turning five! Teaming up with suburban cellar door, Oddio, the party collective is curating a birthday bash for wine and music lovers to get down on the dance floor across the weekend. The three-day event will see Sunny’s van roll up, slinging slices of their beloved pizza, a pop-up Porch Records vinyl store and homegrown musicians soundtracking the party. Several lo-fi wine producers and craft brewers will be pouring all night long, keeping you dancing from day to dusk. Endless Grooves is the collective behind events like the Dream Boat party of Popeye, coasting down the River Torrens during Mad March. Tickets start at $20.

Illuminate Renmark: In Depth | until July 2

Can’t wait for Illuminate to light up the CBD? The celebration of innovation has headed to the Riverland ahead of its July schedule, setting the regional town of Renmark aglow. Illuminate: In Depth uses technology, sound and light to transform the Murray River banks into a space of colour, history and luminescent art. Curated in collaboration with Craig Walsh, the Renmark Illuminate series draws inspiration from the stories of the regional community and riverbed.

Leigh Street Unleashed | June 17 

Lovers of Leigh Street will be treated to a host of entertainment at Leigh Street Unleashed this Friday. Spicing up after-work drinks, head to your favourite small bar for glasses of red wine, grazing plates and fun. As the the sun sets and the mercury dips, warm up around toasty fire pits and marvel at the roving entertainment traversing down the cobbled street. Fire twirlers will be lighting up the night sky as busy bodies seek out a Leigh Street haunt to escape the cold.

Fork by the Fire | June 18 

Fire pits and food trucks: Fork on the Road is back, taking over Bonython Park for an afternoon filled with family-friendly fun. Listen to live acoustic music, sip tipples of wine and craft pints from Bowden Brewing and Sparkke at the Whitmore. Devour food from CAROclub, Nugg Lyfe and more as the kids blow off steam on the playground. As the sun sets over the city parklands, treat yourself to an Espresso Martini and groove to resident DJs taking over the decks. Fork by the Fire is free, and runs from midday until 8pm.

Brighton Winter Solstice | June 18 

Celebrate the impending winter solstice at Brighton this weekend. While the official solstice doesn’t roll around until Tuesday June 21, the City of Holdfast Bay is getting in early to throw a party for locals and lovers of the seaside. Jetty Road will transform, as local vendors and musicians crowd the road. Stay warm by the fire pits scattered along the street and listen to music curated by Porch Records. The Winter Solstice street party starts at 10am and finishes at 9pm.
